The Star of Bethlehem Explained

As we near Christ Mass, which is the birth of the sun god and son of the Star, many of us are interested in communing with the spirit that is projected onto us by the Star of Bethlehem and it is this same spirit that dwells within each of us.

Because I am a person who verges on the borders of obsession with patterns, I am able to see them in many things and really it is just like finding the jewel-like pieces of a puzzle that fit perfectly together to show us the bigger picture and so below, I will present to you the treasures I have found in relation to Bethlehem, the Star of Bethlehem, Jesus his Mother and Father.

Then God said to Jacob, “Go up to Bethel and settle there, and build an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau.”

So Jacob said let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone.”

Jacob and all the people with him came to Luz (that is, Bethel) in the land of Canaan. There he built an altar, and he called the place El Bethel, because it was there that God revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother.

After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him. God said to him, “Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel.” So he named him Israel.

And God said to him, “I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will be among your descendants. The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you.” Then God went up from him at the place where he had talked with him.

Jacob set up a stone pillar at the place where God had talked with him, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it. Jacob called the place where God had talked with him Bethel.

-Genesis 35

The ancient name of Bethlehem is Ephrath, Ephrathah or Ephratah and Ephrath means ‘fruitful’ and Ephrath was in The Kingdom of Judah. As we can see in the chapter from Genesis above, God told Jacob to be ‘fruitful’ and he also renamed and gave him the title ‘Israel’.

Throughout much of the Bible, Ephrath is a description for members of the Israelite tribe of Judah, as well as for the possible founders of Bethlehem. The Tribe of Judah is one of the 12 tribes of Israel and it is from Judah that King David emerged. We also know that Bethlehem was the birthplace of Jesus Christ and that he was also a descendent from the line of David of the Tribe of Judah.

The Hebrew Bible, which says that the city of Bethlehem was built up as a fortified city by Rehoboam, identifies it as the city David was from and where he was crowned as the king of Israel.

In Ps. 132:6 it is mentioned as the place where David spent his youth, and where he heard much of the ark, although he never saw it till he found it long afterwards at Kirjath-jearim

Lord, remember David and all his self-denial. He swore an oath to the Lord, he made a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob, “I will not enter my house or go to my bed, I will allow no sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, till I find a place for the Lord, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

We heard it in Ephrathah, we came upon it in the fields of Jaar:
“Let us go to his dwelling place, let us worship at his footstool, saying, ‘Arise, Lord, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; may your faithful people sing for joy.”

-Psalms 132: 1-9

As for the meaning of ‘Bethlehem’, It is thought that the similarity of this name to its modern forms indicates that this was a settlement of Canaanites who shared a Semitic cultural and linguistic heritage with the later arrivals. Lachmo was the Chaldean god of fertility, worshipped by the Canaanites as Lachama. The town was known as Beit Lachama, meaning “House of Lachama.”

William F. Albright notes that the pronunciation of the name remained essentially the same for 3,500 years, but has meant different things: “‘Temple of the God Lakhmu’ in Canaanite, ‘House of Bread’ in Hebrew and Aramaic, ‘House of Meat’ in Arabic.” Other scholars have also speculated that the name of Bethlehem (“house of lehem”) originally referred to a Canaanite fertility deity cognate with Laḫmu and Laḫamu, rather than to the Canaanite word lehem, “bread” yet as ‘Beth-El’ or ‘El-Beth’ it means ‘House of God’. Again we are seeing the reference of fertility when speaking about Bethlehem.

A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel.

-Numbers 24:17

This is why the revolt against the Romans by the Jews was called the ‘Bar Kokhba Revolt’ because Bar Kokhba means “Son of the Star” in Aramaic and it is the title given by the Jews to the Messiah they were waiting for who would be the Son of the Star.

Here, Numbers is speaking about the House of Jacob or the descendants of Jacob and as it is explained above, Jacob and Israel are the same person yet Numbers is specifically telling us that the Star will come from the descendants of Jacob and rule over Israel the place.

Jacob fathered 12 sons which became the 12 tribes of Israel and king David, a king of Israel, was descended from Jacob’s son, Judah. We know that David was later represented by the hexagram, the 6 pointed star and as Jesus said in the Book of Revelation:

“I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

-Revelation 22:16

And the Morning Star is mentioned again in Revelation 2:26-28:

“To the one who is victorious and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations— that one ‘will rule them with an iron scepter and will dash them to pieces like pottery’ —just as I have received authority from my Father.I will also give that one the morning star.”

We are told the genealogy of Jesus in the book of Matthew below which I have placed only the beginning and the end as there is no need to add the whole list:

“This is the record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham:

Abraham was the father of Isaac,
Isaac the father of Jacob,
and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.

Eliud was the father of Eleazar,
Eleazar the father of Matthan,
Matthan the father of Jacob,
and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary,
of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.”

What is interesting here is that the genealogy of Jesus is traced back to David, Judah and Jacob through his Father Joseph. Jesus also had to be born in Bethlehem, David’s city, because it was the birthplace of his father as it says here in Luke 2:11:

“Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”

If Joseph was just some man who was playing a role as protector in Jesus’ life, then the writer of Matthew would not have gone to all the trouble to list the genealogy of Jesus and neither would it be important for Jesus to be born in the City of David which is Bethlehem in Judah. But it was because Joseph carried the royal bloodlines of David and he came from the House of David, the House of Judah and the House of Jacob/Israel.

From my studies of the Essenes which it was believed that Jesus and his family were members of, I learned that one of the rituals was the Hieros Gamos which is Greek for the Divine Alchemical Marriage which is the union of opposites practiced physically through sexual intercourse. The belief is that the man and woman taking part in this ritual was to create a divine child by the man first invoking the god and the woman invoking the Goddess and becoming vessels of these deities on Earth and mimicking their divine union. You can learn more about this HERE and HERE.

And so it is clear that Joseph and Mary did perform the Hieros Gamos which they were probably instructed to by the essence we know as Archangel Gabriel or even the divine itself. Joseph HAD to be the Earthly father of Jesus in order to pass on the divine seed of the anointed kings and in order to fulfill the prophecy told to Jacob by God.

Returning back to the star, Jesus explained that he is the Morning Star which has been known throughout history, as far back as Sumer and Babylon, to be Venus. In Sumer and Babylon, Venus was known as Inanna/Ishtar. Inanna was the crown giver and a man of royal lineage could only be king once he had performed the Hieros Gamos with Inanna which would be a priestess from her temple who embodied her essence on Earth.

And now we have to go back to pre-Jerusalem times and when King David was crowned by the High Priest and King, Melchizedek:

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.”

-Genesis 14:18

Melchizedek was the king of Shalem also known as Shalim. Shalim is a god in the Canaanite religion pantheon, mentioned in inscriptions found in Ugarit (Ras Shamra) in Syria. William F. Albright identified Shalim as the god of dusk, and Shahar as Goddess and sometimes known as god of the dawn. Shalim is also identified as the deity representing Venus or the “Evening Star”, and Shahar, the “Morning Star”.His name derives from the triconsonantal Semitic root S-L-M. Many scholars believe that the name of Shalim is preserved in the name of the city Jerusalem and both Shalim and Shahar were the patrons of Shalim.

This tells us that Melchizedek was the high priest of the most high God Shalim which is Venus yet when we look further back we see that Shalim and Shahar were indeed deities of Venus because they had been birthed from Venus herself whom we know to be Inanna, Ishtar, Aphrodite, Astarte, Asherah, Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary etc So in truth, Jerusalem is the city of Venus.

Shalim & Shahar suckling from their mother, Venus

We call the planet Venus the morning star when it appears in the east at sunrise, and the evening star when it appears in the west at sunset, although the ancients called it Hesperus in the evening and Phosphorus, or Lucifer, in the morning. Because of the distances of the respective orbits of Venus and the Earth from the Sun, Venus is never visible more than three hours before sunrise nor three hours after sunset, and it may also surprise you that Venus can be seen in broad daylight, provided you know where, and when, to look after reference to an almanac.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the One who has been born King of the Jews? We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.”

-Matthew 2:2

The study of Phoenician gods revealed three goddesses to be different aspects of the planet Venus. A similar trilogy exists in the Norse pantheon, but with different names. It is believed that the Phoenicians, or Canaanites carried their beliefs with them when working on the Temple for Solomon and may have affected its ultimate design.

It is said that the first known name for the city of Jerusalem was Urushalim, “Uru’ founded by “Shalem”, the name of the Canaanite god of Venus in its evening setting, but Solomon’s Temple was facing in the opposite direction, towards Venus rising in its role as morning star. We can be certain that King Solomon’s Temple was built by Canaanites who were known to worship Venus, also we can understand that Solomon had no tradition of his own to give him the knowledge of how to build a temple that was properly constructed to interface with the heavens. However it is perplexing that these Venus worshipping Phoenicians were allowed to build the house of God.

Biblical scholars have noted from passages such as I Kings 11.5 that Venus was worshipped by Solomon in her special form as the deity of the Phoenicians and he fell out of favour with God. The official worship of Venus as Astarte, the Queen of Heaven continued in the Kingdom of Judah until circa 600 BCE.

Moses created Princes of the Tabernacle and the initiations took place when the Pentagram, or blazing star was to be seen in the east. A blazing star that is referred to as a Pentagram can only be a reference to Venus which had long been associated with the pentagram because of the planet’s apparent movement around the sun when observed from Earth. It is suggested that when the Romans destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple in year 70 of the Christian Era, a number of the Princes of the Tabernacle managed to escape to locations across Europe. It was from these families that the men came, who went on to found the Knights Templar.

Venus is represented by the pentagram, hexagram, heptagram and octagram. For a time, a pentagram was the official seal of the city of Jerusalem and it was also the symbol of the Pythagoreans.

In later times, it was used by medieval Christians to symbolize the five wounds of Christ, and figured in the heavily symbolic Arthurian romances. In medieval times, the pentagram represented the proportions of the human body.

In alchemical texts, the four elements (in Latin)- flatus, ignus, aqua, terra, superseded by light, or divine energy- illustrated the process of creation, and the biblical motto Fiat Lux, or, “let there be light.” Venus and the pentagram is the symbol of the Light Bringer, the Morning Star who is also known as Lucifer in Latin and Phosphorus in Greek.

This Venus, this Morning Star, is the same star the Jesus called himself and it is through Venus that all of the elements of Jerusalem, David and Melchizedek are connected. The star that rose out of the House of Jacob is both David and Jesus and that star is Venus and that scepter was passed on as the divine seed from the bloodlines of Jacob, through to David, through to Joseph and then to Jesus himself.

In many icons you will see Mother Mary associated with the star which symbolizes Venus. The church fathers were well aware that Mary manifested from her previous known names of Venus which grew out from ancient mesopotamia. Venus has always been the Queen of Heaven, Earth and the underworld and she has always been known as the mother of the sun, who is the dying and resurrected fertility god which is again, another connection with the original name of Bethlehem.

She is Venus herself who produces the messenger of light who comes to Earth to bring the Christ Logos which is the divine Word. As the Mother of the Mysteries, it is through her son that the world becomes enlightened should they choose to follow his Way which leads straight back to her, which is the soul.

In Christianity, according to the Epistle to the Hebrews, Jesus Christ is identified as “a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek”, and so Jesus assumes the role of High Priest once and for all.

The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”

-Psalm 110:4

We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and steadfast. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

-Hebrews 6:19-20

Melchizedek also anointed David as king and transferred his reign while still remaining high priest to the high god until his death. David was destined to become king of the City of Venus, Shalim, and through him was passed the spark of the lightbringer.

The name Melchizedek means “My King is Jupiter” and this also plays a huge role in the Star that shone above Bethlehem that night, the same star what was seen by the Magi and the ‘shepherds’ who were tending to their ‘sheep’ when Jesus was born.

The Magi, living in the valley of the Euphrates, studied the stars and the motions of the heavens from their tall towers in the desert. They measured the seasons, and they discovered the three long dark nights which accompanied the winter solstice. They also learned that immediately afterward the days began to lengthen, and they interpreted this phenomenon as peculiar proof of God’s love. They said that heaven had made a pact and promise with the earth, and that the world would soon again be green and covered with flowers. So these ancient priests of Persia lit their sacred fires, and all the people rejoiced and did honor to the reborn God of light.

2000 years ago, Venus and Jupiter converged together which we esoteric students call the Hieros Gamos between Venus and Jupiter. Venus is known as the Queen and Jupiter as the king. Through their Hieros Gamos they produced divine light, the Sun. So on that night when Jesus was born, the spiritual parents of Jesus were united and shining their light upon Bethlehem through their union yet it was Venus that could be seen for she is the brightest star in the sky and it is she who is the light giver and the one who shines like a torch in the night, guiding people through the darkness, showing the way to the lost and saving men from materiality. It is Venus who is the true Star of Bethlehem.

To go into greater detail needs another article entirely but you can find many writings on everything that has been mentioned here on our website under the articles and channelings tabs.

We wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christ Mass and just as Christ promised, through this knowledge we hope to have given you the Morning Star that will shine in your hearts forever.
